The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children, more commonly known as WIC, is a public health nutrition program under the USDA providing nutrition education, nutritious foods, breastfeeding support, and healthcare referrals for income-eligible women who are pregnatn or post-partum, infants and children up to age 5. The program is designed to improve the heatlh and well-being of Forsyth County residents. There are three satellite WIC Clinics available. One is located in the Downtown Health Plaza on Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive and is for Downtown Health Plaza clients only.
