Forsyth Regional Opioid and Substance Use Team is made up of representatives from over 80 different community agencies in addition to community members with lived experiences. We have a comprehensive plan and are working together to build and maintain a continuum of care in the Forsyth County community that educates the community, provides primary prevention, overdose prevention, promotes harm reduction practices, removes barriers to treatment and recovery, and breaks down stigma surrounding substance use.

For additional information contact 336-486-0103 or visit FROST's website.

MIH supports individuals who are facing substance use or mental health crises by providing specialized care and connecting them to appropriate resources. We focus on improving community health through advanced, trauma-informed care. Services include follow-up support after overdoses and help with finding treatment options like medication-assisted therapy. We also connect people in crisis with mental health resources to meet their needs and improve their quality of life. Our team is made up of paramedics and peer support specialists who guide individuals through the recovery process and help them find the resources they need. We’re here to assist anyone facing a mental health crisis or struggling with substance use.

The Forsyth County Department of Public Health Pharmacy is a limited formulary retail pharmacy. We primarily stock behavioral health medications and medications prescribed by the Public Health clinics. We accept most private insurances as well as Medicaid and Medicare Part D plans.

The Patient Assistance Program (PAP) can help you determine eligibility to receive behavioral health branded medications from manufacturers at no cost to you. The pharmacy will assist in completing and submitting the applications for assistance. PAPs are usually sponsored by pharmaceutical manufacturers and are promoted as a "safety net" for Americans who have no insurance or are underinsured. If qualified, the patient can receive eligible medication(s) at no cost for up to one year.

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 5 pm. Our phone number is (336) 703-3250.

The Forsyth County Stepping Up Initiative houses two programs: Stepping Up Process to End Recidivism (SUPER) and the Mental Health Court (MHC).

  • The SUPER program provides screening, transition planning, peer support, and case management to persons who have mental health or substance use disorders. The program focuses on men and women who have criminal justice involvement. We also assist those who may not have any legal issues.
  • The MHC Program is a court supervised treatment program for people who have been identified as having a mental illness, pending charges, and have agreed to participate in the program. MHC is a pre-plea court that links eligible defendants to treatment and support services that help them better manage their mental health.
