The Winter Blues: Understanding Seasonal Affective Disorder

Daylight saving time occurred in early November, giving us an extra hour but cutting down on daylight. During this season, many people experience feelings of sadness, emptiness, restlessness, or helplessness. Are you feeling this way? If so, you might be experiencing symptoms of seasonal affective disorder (SAD), also known as the Winter Blues, which is commonly associated with the fall and winter seasons.

The "Winter Blues" affect both individuals and those around them. Join NC Cooperative Extension and learn more about this seasonal affliction and how to manage it. Bring your lunch and learn with us during this virtual workshop on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, from 12 noon to 1:00 PM.

This workshop is part of the 2024 "Extension at Home" series, brought to you by a collaboration of N.C. Cooperative Extension Agents. This series features a new topic each month related to Family and Consumer Sciences.
