Tanglewood will host Project CATCH at Tanglewood Park Shelter #3 on Monday, August 8th from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. CATCH (Caring for Aquatics Through Conservation Habits) is an environmental education program developed by the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission. Adults working with youth ages 8–15 learn how to present activities on topics such as identification of North Carolina fish species, fish adaptations and biology, habitat requirements, fishing skills, water safety and conservation ethics.
The program is open to all interested educators including schoolteachers; park, nature center and camp personnel; and scout leaders. Participants will receive a copy of the CATCH student workbook and other instructional materials. All participants qualify for CEU and EEC credits.*
