Deputy II Mark Hamilton is deserving of consideration for the Sworn Personnel of the Month award due to his exemplary performance and tireless efforts in serving the Town of Rural Hall. Specifically, Deputy Hamilton has developed a strong rapport with the residents of the Woodbrier Apartment complex through his proactive approach to community policing. He has accomplished this by making regular patrols and contacts throughout the complex. This has led to Deputy Hamilton becoming a familiar and trusted presence with apartment tenants providing him with valuable information simply because of his regular visibility and approachability. This community engagement has directly translated to positive enforcement results, as Deputy Hamilton consistently makes arrests on nearly every shift - whether through observing criminal activity firsthand or executing outstanding warrants. His ability to maintain such a high arrest rate while also fostering positive relationships with the public is a true testament to his skill, dedication, and well-rounded effectiveness in Community Policing. Deputy Hamilton's commitment to public safety, combined with his community-oriented mindset, make him an outstanding candidate deserving of the Sworn Personnel of the Month recognition for his outstanding work.
